Cogon-X

Cogon-X is a nutritional supplement with proprietary ingredients and organic bio-stimulants that aid in the uptake of glyphosate (Roundup®) or other herbicides used in the management of cogongrass and other invasive weed species. Cogon-X contains "elicitors" which stimulate the metabolism of polyamines within the plant. These polyamines are natural growth promoters, and are present in most plants. Cogon-X simply helps get the herbicide into the root system of the cogongrass by stimulating it's growth.

Cogon-X and Glyphosate (Roundup®) may be applied anytime during the growing season from early April until frost in the fall.

Treatment may begin in the spring ,(early April) as soon as the cogongrass starts to "green-up" and gets new shoots or leaves 4 to 6 inches tall.This timing gets the treatment on the plants before seedhead emergence, thus preventing one crop of seed. Good coverage of new green leaves is critical so 15 to 30 gallons of water per acre should be used in ground applications. Some situations may require waiting until the new, green growth is above the brown, dead leaves from the previous years' growth. Where possible, mowing the dead leaves from the previous years' growth is one option for getting good spray coverage on the new growth with the herbicide and Cogon-X.

Apply one Pint of Cogon-X mixed with one Quart of Glyphosate (Roundup®) ,with a min. of 41% active ingredient, in 15 to 30 gallons water per acre by ground. Apply to green foliage that is actively growing.
